Critic for pokemon X and Y/ other stuff

K so this journal is going to be a little interesting as usually I wouldn't review a video game I played since I don't play much major video games just like simple games and the fact that I rarely finish games and when I do I forget about so yeah. 

However with pokemon X and Y their was big expectations as it was first to play a fame with some 3D graphics and interesting new features with pokemon amie and being able to search a pokemon that you have not seen which I think is a nice touch. 

In my previous journal before the Christmas one I have mentioned I managed to get both X and Y. I finished Y a couple weeks ago and in all honestly this has to be the shortest time I finished the game. Usually takes me weeks or months just to finish one game because of school or I lose interest but this didn't so it was great and manage to beat the game around my break November so yea. 

Now before I start with the review just some heads up there will be some spoilers and stuff so be aware of that. Also for those who have the game and possibly wanna battle me or trade note me your friend code and I will give you mine so that like I said before maybe have a battle or trade.

Now on to the review 

Think I'll start with the animation .  When I learned that the game will be in 3D animation I was a little skeptical cause I mean that's a big jump and I figured their will be a lot of glitches and be a big mess. Well..I was wrong. The animations were stunning and just amazing surprisingly the game ran smoothly I never had a glitch problem or anything. It was really good and I liked the feature of skating around which is faster then walking hell I rarely used my bike first time playing though. 

However there are some problems with the skating. If you are not good at making turns when skating it can be frustrating when you have to turns in small spaces like when you enter the maze of hedges to get an time. Really bothered me.  Another thing is if you go straight for a couple of seconds you start to slow down a little and usually I like to move fast so this does bother me a bit. 

Next with battling. The battling were really good as certain moves has really good animation like Brave Bird and inferno, there were also some new moves like phantom force (think that's what it was called). Though I admit so movements of few pokemon were weird but other than that it was good. 

With the new pokemon I have to admit some of the pokemons were pretty good but some I was a little iffy like kelfkie I mean it's cute and all but really not my favorite. With fairy types it was kind off tough cause I didn't know what could do really big damage on them. XD fairies, hard to beat sometimes. I like the tidbit of bringing old pokemon from other regions which made picking a team ember very difficult hell when I first started I almost had a full team before I even got to the first gym. Also another tidbit which started you pick also decides which legendary bird you will meet. So you are able to catch three legendaries in both X and Y problem is with the legendary bird is you have to encounter them more than 10 times before it finally settle in a permanent location.  

Your rival. Can't say much since you don't usually fight your rival a lot like usual where before you enter the next gym your rival challenges you. In X and Y I can't remember in which specific locations does your rival challenge you. You do also fight with the other rivals but I believe only twice and that's ok I guess I mean they really don't do much in my opinion. 

The story and the enemy. Again can't say much I think the story was decent. The boss has an interesting design but you kinda do see it coming I mean he has red hair and looks like a lion and team flare have red hair and suits what are the fucking odds. However toward the end it was cool  you fight the boss I believe three times with a very cools background and music so yea can't say much. 

Now the gym battles. I loved the gym battles I have to admit I did not expect some of them and must had really good themes. My personal favorites is the psychic gym battle where had an out of this world theme. Just love how when you step in the middle of the room as you enter and the walls break apart to reveal this vast space like area. I was just blown away. I also like the fairy gym battle as it was in a large doll house and each room had a unique design. 

Other fun features. I love how you can now customize you're characters with direct clothes and even different hair style too so u thought that was fun. I also love the pokemon amie where you can interact with your pokemon more and can help evolve evee into a sylveon. It also helps too as pokemon would possibly increase their chance in surviving a one hit K.O, increase a chance of critical and increase chance of you're pokemon dodging as well. You can also sit in the game XD years of development and we can finally sit in the game. Another cool thing is now the ex. Share can help level up all of your team member which is really good as you don't have to train one pokemon individually to level them up a certain level with this I can enter a gym ease though and have my team level up without them really having to be sent out. 

Now some things I was fond with. I already talked about the skating and it's default so let's move to what bugs me next. Lumoise city. I really hate the camera angles it has when you enter the city and while skating it gets confusing and eventually frustrating cause it'll be hard to see certain parts of the city especially when looks for a specific place. Finding the rich dude pokemon. I hated that little tidbit when you have to find the rich dude of whatever his name pokemon from the garden and then try to trap it. Just real annoying soon after and as a reward all we got are fireworks that's it. Whoop de fuck doo. 

And that's it. That's my review the game is good over all and a lot of fun.
